A. De Forest Sr Russell A. De Forest Sr.,
72, of Liverpool died Monday. Born in Mattydale, he graduated from St.
Lucy's Academy. He retired in 1984 as a police officer with the Syracuse
Police Department after 22 years. He retired as an electrician in 1994 after
10 years with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 43. He
worked security for Syracuse University for 10 years. He was a communicant
of Christ the King Church, Liverpool, and a member of Knights of Columbus.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: His wife of 52
years, the former Lorraine Danquer; five daughters, Jaime M. De Forest-Russo
of Ashaway, R.I., Lynn M. Felicia and Tracey M. Basiliere, both of
Liverpool, Kim Louise De Forest of Mexico and Terry M. Hiller of Hannibal;
four sons, Russell A. Jr. and Steven E., both of Liverpool, Brian D. of
North Syracuse and Kevin L. of Syracuse; a brother, David of Onondaga Hill;
14 grandchildren. Services: 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers
Corners and 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church. Burial, Our Lady of Peace
Mausoleum. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 3541
