David P. Willard April 10, 2010 David P. Willard, 70, passed away peacefully at Community General Hospital. He was born in Somerville, MA, where he lived for 17 years. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force. While in the service, he met his wife of 48 years and followed her back to her hometown of Syracuse, NY. He was a member of the Syracuse Police Department for 31 years and retired as a member of the Criminal Investigation Division. David was predeceased by his mother, Mary Riley; his father George; and his siblings, Louise, Philip, John and Donald. David is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Hinman); his four children, Sheila (Michael) Orman, Brian (Jeanne), Philip (Amy) and David (Leanne); nine grandchildren, Carl and Michaela, Cole, Chloe and Chase, Emily and Sarah, Ryan and Paige; and one brother, George (Patricia) of Wellesley, MA. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann's Church, Taunton. There are no calling hours.
